Good Afternoon, everyone.
Rainy day, blogging day! *lol*
Shikata Ga Nai's prequel is doing just fine, and moving faster ahead than I thought. I'm up to the sixth chapter, that I should get started within the next day, after solving a mystery about the apparition of an angelic figure named Ai, into my recollection, that I didn't really paid attention to, back when I was younger.
What had made my heart leapt were her features, with her full cheekbones and pulpous lips, matched to luscious eyelashes. She reminded me of somebody in fact real, and still alive. I couldn't figure who that was, until I fell across a complete edition copy of Princess Ai, published by Tokyopop.

On the cover a name hit me like a well-meant arrow: Courtney Love. I've heard of her, knew what she's been through, but so far, we had nothing in common, or so I thought, save when I flipped across Princess Ai's pages. I discovered a marvelous Soul, beautifully inspired, whom has been unable to restranscript in a Manga a shard of herself, to witness of the depths of her love for her Beloved One, but also for the rest of the world, no matter the hardships endured to reach it. When she says than Ai is her alter ego, I know it's true, and I respect it wholly. If I'm not fan of Heavy Metal music, she succeeded to touch my Soul through Ai, which is the very mission of any alter ego, no matter which universe it is dwelling. It shows than the person behind it is assuming his/her true nature completely, with his/her qualities and defaults, new and past. I'm telling you what, after two days of hesitation, realizing I was about to do a mistake, I bought the copy.
However, the Ai from my recollection seems even more mature and experienced than Shun, when heavenly and eartly matters collide, that's all I can tell so far. She's also very genuine, and had a peculiar knack to keep Pandora at bay, aware than she can't stand her. For the Ai of my recollection is no more than another Tenshi (Angel in Japanese), at the service of Zeus and Rhea. Forget the clothing dating back from Antiquity, she's a preferrence for the Empire period one (I well said Empire, not Napoleon! Since the prequel is dealing with the Russian and Occidental relationships's point of view, remember?).
Other striking coincidences: on the cover, Princess Ai is surrounded by colorful butterflies, my friend Susan gifted me a pink lacquered box featuring butterflies (in Asia, the butterfly stands for the Soul and Rebirth; she confessed to me she knew pink was my favorite color, although I never told her anything before!), and Hamasaki Ayumi has butterflies caught into her hair on the covers for Mirrorcle World.
A message from above? Most likely...
With Love,
Sam.
